Hola! Mi nombre es Adrian Garcia Rodriguez. I am a queer Latine creative who loves to celebrate my roots and bring my culture into my work. The bright colors and shapes on my mothers outfits, make up, and my fathers sombreros and great penmanship, is where my passion for design began.
My Lil’ Zine is about my early years as a little queer brown boy. Through my illustrations, I share my frustrating experiences with established societal expectation that boys should play with cars and other "boy" toys, which conflicted with my desire to play with toys that were designated for girls.
